Colored pencil and acrylic paint on paper

These are a continuation of the House Stack oil paintings I have been working on since 2011. 

I am pairing and coupling buildings, referencing the beauty and complexity of familial, communal, and religious relationships. 

The  buildings these images reference came from images that my dad took of houses he thought I would be interested in. He saw them on his retirement trip around the perimeter of the country with my mom.

This particular exploration was additionally guided by a switch of medium from oil on canvas to acrylic paint and colored pencils on paper… a technique taught to me by CF Payne.
